I spent the day with the newly appointed government in this arts project, in which as scientific advisor I presented with them several interventions informed by behavioural change frameworks (like Nudge) to solve a social policy problem... the results of their decision will be presented in the exhibition "Sortition" that will be touring the country...
I was invited as part of a group of scientists and artists to collaborate on a event hosted in Somerset House for the public to attend. The idea was to have the public interact with experts in the sciences and the arts about their work on themse associated with perception, in my case the perception of control, or lack of control....
I was fortunate enough to work with Suzy Wilson of Clod Ensemble who are a versatile performing arts company that has successfully developed ways of translating their approach beyond the arts to the world of medicine. Performing medicine is a new way of helping medical students understand the physicality of the body, in our collaborative work, we published a review of method of this kind that have been applied in the medical world.
As part of an exhibition at the ICA Fig-2 arts company invited psychologists with different expertise to talk to members of the public that could join us at a table a re-enactment of the 'Lunar Club' (see image on the right) to talk to us about subjects to do with the senses, perception of time, and of the future (which I was able to discuss with many interested and interesting members of the public)...
